Norton Motorcycles Enters US Market With Shipment of Commando 961

For the first time in over 30 years, U.K.-based Norton Motorcycles has shipped new product to the U.S. This shipment of Commando 961 bikes is a huge and historic step for Norton, according to the company.

In a statement released on Norton Motorcycles’ website, Norton announced that the first shipment of Commando 961 bikes has been shipped to dealers in the U.S., marking the first time in over 30 years that the U.K.-based company has shipped product to the U.S.

“We are very pleased to announce we have shipped the first batch of Norton Commando 961 bikes to the U.S.A. [It’s] a huge and historic step for Norton as the U.S.A. is a large and important market for Norton. The shipment is the first delivery of new Norton bikes for some 30-plus years. Norton Motorcycles U.S.A. CEO Dan Van Epps has assembled many of the best U.S. dealers to represent Norton,” said the company in its statement.
