In a statement released on Norton Motorcycles’ website, Norton announced that the first shipment of Commando 961 bikes has been shipped to dealers in the U.S., marking the first time in over 30 years that the U.K.-based company has shipped product to the U.S.
“We are very pleased to announce we have shipped the first batch of Norton Commando 961 bikes to the U.S.A. [It’s] a huge and historic step for Norton as the U.S.A. is a large and important market for Norton. The shipment is the first delivery of new Norton bikes for some 30-plus years. Norton Motorcycles U.S.A. CEO Dan Van Epps has assembled many of the best U.S. dealers to represent Norton,” said the company in its statement.
Norton has posted U.S. dealer contact details on its website at NortonMotorcycles.com.
