The R 1300 GS Adventure is BMW’s next level up in its adventure line. We spoke with Shawn McLean, product and accessories manager at BMW Motorrad USA, to get more details on this vehicle’s selling points as well as any promotional assistance the brand is offering. Check out the video to learn more!

Product Pairings
Merlin Solitude Jacket
Utilizing AquaSeal+ laminated waterproofing, the Solitude jacket carries a distinctive touring style that has been developed to be as lightweight as possible. It features D3O LP1 shoulder and elbow protectors as well as a D3O Viper Stealth Level 1 back protector and has ballistic reinforcements over the limbs. There are also pockets for D3O’s split CP1 chest protectors, if required. Solitude is CE certified overall to EN17092 Level AA.
Elsewhere, Solitude includes a multitude of pockets both inside and out for carrying items, a removable neck guard and multiple adjustment points. A zip-out 125-gram thermal lining and large chest vents are included for weatherproofing.

Garmin inReach Messenger Plus
The inReach Messenger Plus is Garmin’s first satellite communicator with photo and voice messaging in addition to global two-way texting, location sharing and SOS capabilities. Garmin inReach devices are designed for use beyond cell coverage — on land, in the sky or on the water. With a battery life that can last for weeks, the inReach Messenger Plus provides reliable satellite communication either as a standalone device or when paired with the Garmin Messenger mobile app on a compatible smartphone. Users can exchange group texts, photo and voice messages and share their location with friends and family.
In the event of an emergency, the inReach Messenger Plus and Garmin Messenger app can send an interactive SOS text message to Garmin Response, a 24/7-staffed international emergency assistance coordination center. Photo and voice messages can also be shared during an SOS, giving response coordinators the ability to see and hear details of the emergency firsthand. Garmin inReach satellite technology has contributed to more than 14,500 SOS activations globally.

Moto Lift ML-12 Motorcycle Lift
All new for 2024, the ML-12 scissor lift was designed by mechanics, for mechanics. These new lifts feature unique E-Track connector points to make tie down stabilization fast, easy and where you want it. They utilizes common automotive Goodyear Air Spring technology to quickly raise and lower the lift without the maintenance frustration and hassle of leaky seals. The heavy, 11-gauge steel deck height is as low as 8 inches off the floor and up to 41.5 inches for the top stop setting. It features a black-textured powder coating and comes in three colors: orange, red and gray.
The five position automatic safety lock device was designed to be easier to use than other designs. The device resets near the bottom of the landing stroke automatically and will settle into preset height stop positions with ease and confidence on the way up. It comes with wheel vise, ramp, a pair of E Track D-rings and a pair of cam straps. There is a five-year warranty on all steel parts and the air spring.
