Since its inception in 2011, the Diavel has sparked enthusiasm and achieved great success thanks to its unique design which blends muscular, sporty, exaggerated and elegant features. Numerous awards from important design institutions have evidenced this.

With the 2025 model year, the Diavel V4 becomes even bolder with the new “Black Roadster Livery” revealed at Intermot 2024. Created by the Centro Stile Ducati, these fresh graphics draw on colors tied to the heritage of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer and the Diavel. The Racing Yellow, highlighted on the tank and in the stripes on the tail and side panels, “lights up” the color scheme that combines black and titanium tones, crafting a livery that puts the Diavel V4 even more in the spotlight. The new seat covering enhances the uncompromising design, giving the Diavel even more character.

Inspired by muscle cars, the Diavel V4 reinterprets the image of an athlete poised at the starting blocks, with mass concentrated at the front and an agile, slim tail. The signature front and rear light clusters and naturally full-LED direction indicators also define the unmistakable look of the Diavel V4. The rear light cluster, composed of a matrix of point-shaped LEDs positioned under the tail, presents a unique, spectacular solution that makes the bike immediately recognizable.

The Diavel V4 features a 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, central to its design and a highly sophisticated technical solution derived from the Desmosedici used by Ducati in MotoGP. With a powerful output of 168 horsepower, rich torque and an extremely light and compact build, it operates fluidly and smoothly even at low revs. Thanks to timing control with spring return, it also offers benchmark maintenance intervals, with valve clearance checked every 36,000 miles.

The Twin Pulse firing order paired with the model-specific exhaust system, featuring a four-exit silencer, gives the exhaust its unmistakable timbre. Another distinctive feature of the Diavel V4 is its substantial 240/45 rear tire. The five-spoke alloy wheels, highlighted with machined surfaces, are among the most refined aspects of its appearance.

In just two years, the Diavel V4 has garnered the Good Design Award from the “Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design,” received a Special Mention in the Excellent Product Design category at the German Design Awards 2024 and was named “Best of the Best” in the prestigious Red Dot Award 2024. These accolades enhance the already established reputation of previous Diavel models, solidifying Ducati’s design as the most appreciated globally. The Diavel has also captivated fans of luxury four-wheel vehicles, evident in the numbered and limited series of Ducati Diavel for Bentley, a collector’s item born from the collaboration between Ducati and Bentley, presented with the seventh episode of the World Première 2024.

The new Diavel V4 in Black Roadster Livery is available on the new configurator, where enthusiasts can design the bike of their dreams with Ducati Performance accessories and view it in various settings.

2025 Ducati Panigale V4 Tricolore https://www.motorcyclepowersportsnews.com/ducati-panigale-v4-tricolore/ Thu, 12 Dec 2024 15:00:00 +0000 https://www.motorcyclepowersportsnews.com/?p=204033 New asymmetric livery, designed by Aldo Drudi together with the Centro Stile Ducati, for a collector's Panigale.

The post 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 Tricolore appeared first on Motorcycle & Powersports News.

]]>
A tribute to all things “Made in Italy” and Ducati history: the Panigale V4 Tricolore. A collector’s bike produced in a limited capacity of 1,000 numbered units that will make the hearts of all enthusiasts beat faster, reinterpreting the livery of the 1984 750 F1, a bike that began exactly forty years ago. A Tricolore livery that in the following years was dedicated to the most prestigious versions of the various generations of Ducati superbikes ever since the first 851 Desmoquattro in 1988.

Innovation, tradition and passion come together in one extraordinary tale. The Panigale V4 Tricolore is a renewed promise: that of getting excited again, of experiencing the privilege of a history that continues to define the future of sports motorcycles. A bond that spans time, celebrating Ducati’s engineering artistry and the indomitable Italian spirit that animates each of its creations.

For Ducati, the Panigale V4 Tricolore is the latest innovation of 2024. It has been an incredible year in which the Borgo Panigale-based company has won the MotoGP Riders’ and Manufacturers’ titles for the third time in a row, coming close to absolute domination with nineteen victories out of twenty grand prix. Added to this are the World Manufacturers’ title in Superbike, the Riders’ title in Supersport and the Italian title on debut with the 450 MX in Italian Motocross. There were also many national victories, including the Italian Superbike and the U.S. Superbike which marked Ducati’s return to victory in the U.S. after 30 years. Last but not least, the historic successes in the Japanese Superbike Championship of the Panigale V4 managed by the Kagayama team.

Ducati North America CEO Jason Chinnock attended this world premiere alongside Ducati Motor Holding Vice President Global Sales Francesco Milicia and Director Strategy and Style Center Andrea Ferraresi, who said, “In Miami and at Art Basel in particular, we feel at home. Ducati is the only motorcycle brand able to combine sophisticated technology and sensual beauty but also to break out of the typical schemes of sport liveries to create works of art, using the motorcycle as a canvas.”

The global premiere of the exclusive motorcycle was unveiled to the public with an off-site event, with the participation of partner Eataly, during Art Basel week in Miami Beach, one of the most prestigious art fairs in the world. Surrounded by special clients and Ducatisti at the event, guests came together to celebrate their passion and loyalty for the brand and 40 years of Tricolore.

“The partnership with Ducati is based on sharing the same values, DNA and goals. We both aim to bring Italian excellence to the world, inspiring people with the authentic Italian art of living,” said Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America. “This event, in such an iconic location during Art Basel week, is the perfect opportunity to reinforce our message and to bring our communities together.”

The Panigale V4 Tricolore, designed by Drudi Performance and the Centro Stile Ducati, is based on the new Panigale V4. Its white, red and green livery, designed asymmetrically for the first time on the bike, celebrates the colors of the Italian flag by combining them with the black and white of the checkered flag, the symbol of victory, shown on the lower part of the fairing. The number plates with the number one on the front and the sides of the fairing resemble those of the sportiest and most sophisticated Ducatis, such as the Panigale V4 R or the Multistrada Pikes Peak.

A livery that underlines the aerodynamic surfaces of the bike, with more taut lines that highlight the change in style that marked, with the Panigale V4 2025, the transition from the sixth to the seventh generation of Ducati Superbikes. The base of the Panigale V4 Tricolore is the new V4 presented last July at World Ducati Week and the leader of an important evolutionary leap thanks to an integrated approach to aerodynamics and design, a completely revised chassis, and innovative electronic solutions such as the Ducati Vehicle Observer and the Race eCBS.

For the first time in Ducati history, a Tricolore is enriched with technical equipment that improves its performance on the track, making this bike even more unique. The Panigale V4 Tricolore is equipped with five-spoke carbon fiber rims that reduce the weight by two pounds compared to the forged ones of the Panigale V4 S, lowering the moment of inertia by 12% at the front and 19% at the rear.

The new Panigale V4 Tricolore is the first production bike in the world to be equipped with the Front Brake Pro front braking system, consisting of two finned Brembo T-Drive discs, measuring 338.5 millimeters in diameter and 6.2 millimeters thick, which increase braking power and performance consistency. These discs, tested by Ducati Factory Riders in the 2024 Race of Champions, are derived from the racing discs mounted in the Superbike World Championship on the most demanding circuits and are paired with Hypure calipers. The calipers feature an anthracite anodizing treatment and an oversized Brembo logo. Finally, the front brake pump is an MCS 19.21 with remote brake lever position adjustment as in MotoGP and Superbike.

A dry clutch, adjustable footpegs in solid aluminum and a GPS module complete the special equipment of the Tricolore. Anyone who wants to use the Panigale V4 Tricolore on the track will also have access to a racing tank cap in solid aluminum, brake caliper conveyors, an open clutch cover in carbon fiber and a kit for removing the license plate holder, all supplied as standard. The experience of riding this collector’s bike will be even more special thanks to the Alcantara seat, the racing plexiglass and the dedicated animation of the dashboard at key-on.

Finally, like all collectible Ducatis, each Tricolore is made unique by the engraved machined aluminum steering plate with the model’s name and unit number.

The Panigale V4 Tricolore is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a dedicated motorcycle cover, and is delivered in a special personalized box to match the livery. The model number is also shown on the aluminum plate of the ignition key. Finally, the uniqueness of the Tricolore is reinforced by the option, reserved for owners, to complete their look with a limited-edition helmet and jacket, featuring a color scheme that echoes the motorcycle’s design. Clients who purchase the motorcycle in the U.S. will automatically receive the accompanying helmet and jacket.

The Ducati Panigale V4 Tricolore will arrive at dealerships in the U.S. in April 2025. Pricing for the limited-edition bike will be $58,000 in the U.S.

2025 Ducati Multistrada V2 https://www.motorcyclepowersportsnews.com/ducati-multistrada-v2/ Wed, 11 Dec 2024 19:00:00 +0000 https://www.motorcyclepowersportsnews.com/?p=204031 The completely redesigned mid-size crossover sets new benchmarks for lightness, handling and ease of riding.

The post 2025 Ducati Multistrada V2 appeared first on Motorcycle & Powersports News.

]]>
For the 8th episode of the 2025 Ducati World Premier, Ducati unveiled the new Multistrada V2, a mid-size crossover designed for fans of twin-cylinder engines. The 2025 model significantly improves lightness, handling and ease of riding. The new Multistrada V2 keeps its 19-inch front wheel, ensuring safety and fun even on rough pavement, but it has been completely redesigned around the new twin-cylinder V2 engine, becoming even more accessible and enjoyable to ride.

Thanks to a design inspired by the pursuit of maximum lightness, focused on the monocoque frame and the new Ducati V2 engine, the Multistrada V2 is 40 pounds lighter than its predecessor. Its weight of 439 pounds (wet, without fuel) makes it the lightest in its class, enhancing maneuverability and low-speed handling, even when fully loaded. Combined with the broad power delivery of the variable-valve twin-cylinder, an advanced electronics package and careful ergonomic and aerodynamic engineering, the Multistrada V2 transforms every ride into an unforgettable journey.

Design

The design of the new V2 draws inspiration from the stylistic concepts that have defined the history of the Multistrada family: horizontally balanced volumes, a light and short tail, and a front area characterized by sporty lines, emphasized by the side panels that enhance the front end. The shoulder surfaces, front masses, and the “beak” — historically distinctive features of the Multistrada — have been made more harmonious.

Like all Ducatis, the Multistrada V2 combines design and functionality. The Centro Stile Ducati defined its lines in close collaboration with R&D technicians to integrate aerodynamic solutions into the design, improving thermal comfort and protection from the elements.

The windshield, highly protective and adjustable in height, was developed through careful aerodynamic research that also involved the deflectors which are integrated into the front design.

As on the Multistrada V4, lateral air conveyors have been introduced for thermal comfort. These upwash conveyors are integrated into the bike’s design and help direct fresh air to the rider’s legs.

The new headlights and DRL, inspired by the latest-generation Panigale and Multistrada V4, contribute to a compact and aggressive front view that is immediately recognizable. The shorter “beak” integrates seamlessly with the windshield, creating a more harmonious image. The direction indicators, thin and harmonized with the side panel design, have been completely redesigned and repositioned to offer optimal visibility and allow fresh air to flow toward the rider.

The tail is slim and light, thanks to a shorter rear grab handle that has been completely redesigned to ensure functionality and ergonomics.

Ergonomics and Comfort

The ergonomics of the Multistrada V2 have been completely revised with great attention to comfort. The rider and passenger seats have been redesigned, and passenger roominess has been improved compared to the previous model regarding legroom and torso space, thanks to the repositioned top box and side case attachments.

To allow the rider to rest their feet on the ground safely, the new Multistrada V2 is equipped with a seat that can be adjusted to two positions, with heights of 33.5 and 32.7 inches. The Ducati Performance catalog also offers an accessory seat raised to 34.3 inches, and one lowered to 31.9 inches. On the S version, thanks to the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) and the Minimum Preload system, it is possible to lower the seat to 31.1 inches.

New Ducati V2 Engine

The new Multistrada V2 is equipped with the Ducati V2 engine, a 90° V-twin with a displacement of 890 cc, featuring IVT variable intake valve timing and a coil spring valve recall system. This compact and lightweight engine — weighing only 121.1 pounds — significantly reduces the bike’s overall weight. This configuration delivers 115 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 67.9 pound-feet of torque at 8,250 rpm.

Thanks to variable valve timing, the V2 engine optimizes performance, power delivery and fuel efficiency. High-rev power is combined with sustained torque delivery at low and mid-range revs. More than 70% of the maximum torque is already available at 3,500 rpm, and between 3,500 and 11,000 rpm, the torque never drops below 75%. This combines more consistent combustion at low revs, ensuring smoother power delivery at small throttle openings. The larger flywheel enhances riding comfort, especially in touring or traffic, by providing a smoother throttle response.

Finally, the gear ratios are specifically designed for the Multistrada, with shorter first and second gears to improve usability at low speeds and enhance full-load acceleration. The gearbox features the new Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, delivering a more precise pedal feel and faster gear changes.

Completely Redesigned Chassis

To enhance comfort and riding pleasure on any route, the new Multistrada V2 features a completely redesigned frame, rear subframe and swingarm, embracing the same construction philosophy as the Multistrada V4. The frame is an aluminum monocoque that uses the engine as a stressed element, the rear subframe is a steel trellis and the swingarm is cast aluminum. Combined with the new V2 engine, these improvements bring the Multistrada to an exceptionally low weight: only 439 pounds (in running order without fuel) for the V2 version and 445 pounds for the V2 S version equipped with semi-active suspension.

Thanks to a complete redesign and the monocoque frame solution, Ducati engineers have created a slim bike with a narrow fit, making placing your feet on the ground easier. Additionally, the contact area between the knees and inner thighs and the bike’s surfaces has been optimized, enhancing riding pleasure and control at high speeds. With its updated ergonomics, the new Multistrada V2 requires less handlebar effort to lean and delivers more neutral behavior when entering and navigating curves.

The Multistrada V2 has a Marzocchi fork featuring 45-millimeter tubes and a Sachs shock absorber with a progressive link, both fully adjustable. The Multistrada V2 S is fitted with semi-active suspension with DSS electronic control, further enhancing comfort, safety and performance. New electronic strategies limit diving during braking (anti-dive) and reduce the tendency to “sit” during acceleration (anti-squat), ensuring precise handling.

Additionally, the Minimum Preload function allows the rear suspension to be lowered with a button, making it easier to place your feet on the ground, especially when fully loaded or riding with a passenger. As with the new Multistrada V4, the suspension modes can be adjusted independently of the riding modes, enabling riders to select their preferred suspension calibration while maintaining the same electronic control settings and engine response.

Both versions of the Multistrada V2 are equipped with a 19-inch front wheel paired with a 17-inch rear wheel, fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires, and offer 6.7 inches (170 millimeteres) of suspension travel to ensure versatility and a superior riding experience. The Brembo braking system features dual 12.6-inch (320-millimeter) front discs and a single 10.4-inch (265-millimeter) rear disc, delivering top-tier performance.

Benchmark Electronics Package

The new Multistrada V2 boasts a complete electronics package, manageable via redesigned handlebar controls and the new five-inch TFT color dashboard, with a completely revamped multilingual interface based on three different Infomodes.

The five available riding modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro and Wet) offer the possibility of adapting the Multistrada V2 to any situation, setting the engine power and response to pre-configured and modifiable values, thanks to the four power modes with which the engine is equipped. The riding modes, of course, set the cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC) to pre-defined levels, which the rider can modify.

The three Infomodes (Road, Road Pro and Rally) allow you to make the most of the dashboard’s capabilities, changing the information displayed to offer the rider the best riding experience in every situation. Road Pro, for example, provides the percentage of power and torque used in real-time.

Finally, the Ducati Multistrada V2 is equipped as standard with cruise control, a USB socket integrated into the dashboard, the Ducati Brake Light EVO (which manages emergency flashing in sudden braking) and, in the case of the V2 S, the Ducati Multimedia System, with the possibility of activating the turn-by-turn navigator accessory. Furthermore, the new Coming Home function keeps the low beams active when the ignition is turned off, illuminating the area in front of the bike and making home entry easier.

Accessories and Availability

A wide range of accessories allows you to customize your Multistrada V2 to suit diverse needs. Plastic cases with a capacity of 15.8 gallons (60 liters) or aluminum cases with a capacity of 20.1 gallons (76 liters) are mounted on the bike with floating attachments to enhance stability and safety. Steel guards help minimize damage in the event of a slide. At the same time, the center stand makes maintenance and loading tasks easier.

For adventure enthusiasts, spoked wheels are available, increasing the Multistrada V2’s versatility and enabling it to tackle off-road terrain when the pavement ends. Riders wishing to enhance their Multistrada V2’s exhaust sound can choose from various options Termignoni offers.

The new Multistrada V2 will be available in two versions: the standard V2 and the V2 S, which feature DSS semi-active suspension. The standard version is offered in Ducati Red, while the V2 S comes in Storm Green or Ducati Red. Additionally, the V2 S provides an optional travel trim, which includes plastic side cases, a center stand and heated grips.

The new Ducati Multistrada V2 will arrive at dealerships in the U.S. in March 2025. Pricing for the Multistrada V2 will be $15,995 and start at $19,295 for the V2 S model in the U.S.

Key V-STROM 1050DE Features

  • Coated with a dynamic Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Matte Black No. 2 paint combination with silver and red accents, the V-STROM 1050DE’s ADV-themed styling retains Suzuki’s original rally-beak look, paying homage to past Suzuki Dakar Rally bikes and the DR-Big large-displacement DualSport.
  • The long-travel, fully adjustable, inverted fork holds radially mounted four-piston brake calipers that grasp dual brake rotors mounted to a 21-inch spoke-style front wheel carrying a Dunlop TRAILMAX MIXTOUR Adventure tire.
  • Ready to go off-pavement, the S.I.R.S. includes a unique Gravel mode in the Suzuki traction control system that provides controlled rear wheel spin on unpaved roads. The DE also has the option to switch off the rear ABS.
  • Ready for mounting auxiliary lights or reducing damage in a tip-over, a sturdy accessory bar is mounted to the V-STROM 1050DE.
  • Especially designed for off-pavement use, an engine protector constructed of three-millimeter (0.12-inch) aluminum plate shields the front and bottom of the frame, exhaust header and engine from trail debris.
  • The V-STROM 1050DE receives a unique, smaller windscreen designed to maximize visibility when riding on dirt trails and on gravel roads. Over three inches (80 millimeters) shorter and slightly narrower than the V-STROM 1050 windscreen, it has been developed to reduce wind buffeting to the rider’s helmet.
  • The V-STROM 1050DE has a 1.57-inch wider (40 millimeters overall, 20 millimeters per side) tapered aluminum handlebar. Cast in thicker tubing from a softer grade of aluminum than the V-STROM 1050 handlebar, this construction allows more flex when riding on unpaved surfaces and better shock absorption for greater comfort. In addition, the wider grip position provides enhanced comfort particularly when standing on the foot pegs to negotiate rough terrain.
  • Because of the suspension changes, front wheel diameter and chassis geometry, the V-STROM 1050DE ground clearance is one inch more than the V-STROM 1050. This helps the motorcycle ride over uneven terrain without touching the bottom of the frame to the ground.
    • Ground clearance V-STROM 1050DE: 7.5 inches (190 millimeters)
    • Ground clearance V-STROM 1050: 6.5 inches (165 millimeters)

American Honda revealed a new on-road motorcycle model developed exclusively for U.S. law-enforcement agencies and available to order exclusively through the Powersports Fleet/Government Purchase Program. Based on the NT1100 — the popular sport-touring model currently offered to European customers — the NT1100 Police is powered by the parallel-twin engine from the Africa Twin and comes with many of the same comfort-, convenience- and safety-focused features from the consumer-focused version of the NT1100, including a protective fairing, an adjustable windscreen, a plush seat, LED lighting and electronic rider aids. It is also outfitted with special components designed for policework, and it can be further customized with additional parts available through approved vendors.

“U.S. motorcycle units and motor officers understand the benefits that two-wheel vehicles can offer over automobiles, and we’re pleased to provide a brand-new option for their fleets,” said Colin Miller, manager of public relations at American Honda. “One of the main advantages of a police motorcycle is maneuverability, and the NT1100 Police is unmatched in that area. It also boasts Honda’s legendary reliability and value — attributes that were proven with law-enforcement agencies in the past, with the police version of the ST1300. Thanks to its light weight, nimble handling and exceptional value, the NT1100 Police promises to be a popular choice among U.S. motorcycle units.”

2025 NT1100 Police

Employing the frame and twin-cylinder engine of the CRF1100L Africa Twin as a base, the NT1100 Police delivers characterful, engaging performance. Notable for its lowest-in-class curb weight, exceptional maneuverability and attractive price, this new police motorcycle also boasts features and technology that broaden its appeal. It comes standard with a host of special features developed specifically for law-enforcement agencies, including pannier bags, a wiring harness that enables easy customization, an engine guard, a rear bumper, a document box and a seat cowl. Additional components are available through approved vendors, to help individual agencies meet their own particular requirements.

New Ducati Streetfighter V4 https://www.motorcyclepowersportsnews.com/new-ducati-streetfighter-v4/ Wed, 04 Dec 2024 15:00:00 +0000 https://www.motorcyclepowersportsnews.com/?p=203943 For the first time, the Streetfighter V4 mounts the Desmosedici Stradale engine in the same configuration as the Panigale V4.

The seventh episode of the 2025 Ducati World Première unveils the new Streetfighter V4 and V4 S. A bike born from the application of Fight Formula on the new Panigale V4 — the seventh revolutionary generation of Ducati superbikes — sits at the top of its performance class while improving rider comfort and enjoyability in road use.

The new Streetfighter V4 is stripped of its fairings, with a high and wide handlebar, a weight of 417 pounds, a 205-horsepower Desmosedici Stradale engine, biplane wings and an electronics package that is unlike any other in the world.

Derived from the Panigale V4, it consists of the same engine, chassis and electronics configurations. The difference in horsepower is due to different intakes. For the first time, Ducati has chosen to transfer the technology and performance of the Panigale V4 to a naked bike without sparing anything, creating a bike that combines the best of both worlds — track handling like a supersport bike and road enjoyment like a true naked.

Its impressive power-to-weight ratio of .49 horsepower-per-pound obtained from a lighter engine combined with electronic and chassis developments such as DVO, Öhlins Smart EC3.0 suspension and the new Race eCBS braking system makes the Streetfighter V4 even more effective on the track.

At the same time, it can be fun on the road with superior comfort in everyday riding. This is thanks to the wider calibration range guaranteed by the suspensions to a more rigorous chassis that gives the rider a greater feeling and ease of riding with a more contained exhaust noise while simultaneously offering great character to the bike.

Desmosedici Stradale Engine

The Streetfighter V4 engine derives from the Panigale V4 with an even more direct link than the previous model. The Desmosedici Stradale is closely derived from the Ducati MotoGP bikes, which share numerous technical solutions, starting with the architecture. It is a 90-degree V4 with desmodromic distribution, counter-rotating crankshaft and Twin Pulse timing, which gives the Streetfighter V4 a sound similar to that of the Desmosedici GP.

The Desmosedici Stradale of the new Streetfighter V4 has had its distribution diagram revised compared to the version of the previous model with cams with a different profile and a higher lift value. The alternator and oil pump are the same as those mounted on the Panigale V4 R, while the gear drum is used on the Superleggera V4. For the first time, the Streetfighter V4 also features variable-length intake trumpets with a value of 25 millimeters in the short configuration and 80 millimeters in the long one, thus simultaneously increasing maximum power and rideability.

The Desmosedici Stradale engine delivers 205 horsepower at 12,650 rpm and a maximum torque of 88.3 pound-feet at 11,500 rpm.Values that can be higher in track configuration. By adopting the Ducati Performance by Akrapovič racing exhaust, the maximum power increases to 226 horsepower. The Streetfighter V4 has never been so powerful.

Design

The design of the new Streetfighter V4 maintains the unmistakable Streetfighter DNA, and its Panigale nature is stripped of the fairing. With more balanced proportions and distribution of volumes between the front and rear, the Streetfighter V4 has lines aimed at the front that make the bike look ready to launch toward the next bend. A completely new full-LED headlight enhances the aggressive face of the new Streetfighter, maintaining its iconic light signature. At the rear, the full LED light cluster is functionally divided into two parts, generating that double C that characterizes the sportiest Ducatis.

The 4.2-gallon tank, particularly narrow in fit and characterized by a distinct shoulder, is reflected in the tail, which is more elongated towards the rear, with a shorter license plate holder and the passenger seat positioned lower than the 2024 Streetfighter V4. Both components have been designed to combine style and functionality, improving ergonomics while riding.

The forward-slanting biplane wings, a distinctive element of the Streetfighter V4 since its inception, remain a key distinct element of the motorcycle. Compared to the previous model, they are more effective (more than 99 pounds of downforce at 167 miles-per-hour) and integrated more into the design line. The wings allow for a bike with very nimble chassis qualities but, at the same time, stability and rigorousness at high speeds. The exhaust under the engine maintains the stylistic imprint of Ducati sportbikes, keeping the center of gravity low and leaving a clear view of the new double-sided Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm, also visually lightened by the large exhaust openings on both sides.

Ergonomics

The riding position of the new Streetfighter V4 is derived from that of the Panigale V4. Still, it has been designed to improve vehicle control and increase comfort, especially for taller riders. The seat-tank unit offers more freedom of longitudinal movement thanks to greater room, making reaching and maintaining the aerodynamic posture more natural. A deep recess in the upper part avoids interference with the helmet chin guard.

At the same time, the rear area of the tank, combined with the side covers and the seat shape, increases support for the rider during braking, corner entry and cornering. The rider will find it easier to anchor himself with his knees to counteract deceleration and lean out of the saddle once the bike is in a curve, thus reducing the effort on the arms and, therefore, fatigue.

Compared to the previous Streetfighter V4, the bend of the handlebar has been moved back, now closer to the rider by 10 millimeters, and the footpegs are lower and more forward and positioned 10 millimeters further inward. This increases comfort for the rider without compromising ground clearance. The two vents inside the side panels move hot air away from the rider’s legs, improving thermal comfort.

MotoGP-Derived Chassis

Thanks to the very rigorous chassis of the new Panigale V4, it was not necessary to lengthen the swingarm to stabilize the bike with the new Streetfighter V4. Still, improving the front chassis dimensions (over 0.5-degree steering angle, over one millimeter on the trail) was sufficient to find the synthesis between agility and stability.

Just like the new Panigale, the chassis of the Streetfighter V4 is entirely new. The front frame is, therefore, lighter (7.5 pounds compared to the previous 9.7 pounds) and reduces stiffness compared to the previous model (-40% in lateral) to offer improved confidence when leaning in, taking the apex and maintaining the trajectory.

The double-sided Ducati Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm improves traction when exiting corners and the rider’s feeling in acceleration, with a reduction in lateral stiffness (-43% compared to the single-sided swingarm of the previous model) and an overall lightening of the swingarm-forged rear wheel assembly equal to six pounds. On the Streetfighter V4 S, the forged aluminum alloy wheels with five tangential spokes, inspired by those of the DesmosediciGP, weigh only 6.5 and ten pounds, respectively, for the front and rear.

The third-generation electronically controlled Öhlins NIX/TTX suspension of the Streetfighter V4 S expands its adjustment spectrum, allowing more comfortable calibrations for road use and more sustained and effective when riding between the curbs of a circuit. At the same time, the increased speed of the hydraulic valves offers a more precise and accurate response in every riding situation. Furthermore, compared to the Panigale V4, the rear suspension link is more progressive to provide greater comfort on the road, which is increased thanks to “Cruise Detection.” The latter softens the suspension when it detects a constant pace, such as on motorway transfers, significantly increasing rider comfort.

Like the new Ducati Panigale V4, the Streetfighter V4 also mounts Brembo Hypure front brake calipers. Lighter (down two ounces per pair compared to the Stylema of the previous model) and higher performing, the Brembo Hypure calipers disperse the heat generated by braking more effectively, offering more consistent performance for riders seeking their limits.

The Race eCBS system with cornering functionality, developed by Ducati in collaboration with Bosch, can activate and modulate the rear brake, limiting load transfers and improving the stability of the bike in the braking phase both in road and track use, even when the rider only applies the front brake. The system, which offers five levels against the three of the previous Streetfighter model, intervenes similarly to what is done by professional riders at the lowest levels, reserved for track use, while improving safety and stability at the higher levels, designed for road use.

Ducati Vehicle Observer

The Ducati Vehicle Observer, an algorithm developed by Ducati Corse in MotoGP, simulates the input of over 70 sensors, thus refining the electronic control strategies, which can achieve unprecedented effectiveness in series production. The precision of this functionality allows the controls to intervene in an almost predictive way to promptly accommodate the rider’s needs in the search for maximum performance.

The 2025 Streetfighter V4 has a complete package of electronic controls: Ducati Traction Control DVO, Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Wheelie Control DVO, Ducati Power Launch DVO, Engine Brake Control and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0. The DQS 2.0 system uses a strategy based solely on the gear drum angular position sensor, thus being able to use a gearshift rod without microswitches and, therefore, offering the rider a more direct feeling with reduced travel.

New 8:3 Dashboard

The new 6.9-inch dashboard with 8:3 “aspect ratio” offers maximum readability. The protective glass uses Optical Bonding technology to provide optimal readability on a black background, even during the day. The interface offers differentiated views (Infomode) for use on the road or the track to support the rider in the search for maximum performance in the second in either environment.

The dashboard dynamically changes its layout, moving the columns and redistributing the spaces to offer maximum visibility to the functions that are being used at the moment, such as the navigator. Similarly, by selecting the Views mode, the left column gains space by moving the rev counter to the right and compressing the right column to display the different functions available, including the TPMS, instantaneous torque and power delivered, lateral and longitudinal acceleration values, instantaneous lean angles and action on the throttle and brake.

The Road Infomode has very clean graphics, emphasizing the round rev counter placed in the center and indicating the engaged gear inside. The left side of the screen is reserved for the settings, the navigator (if installed), the music player, the management of the smartphone and accessory heated grips, and the different functions available for each of these features. On the right side are the indications of speed, time, water temperature and cruise control, if enabled.

The Track mode, combined by default with the Race Riding Mode, is designed to emphasize the most relevant information in circuit riding. The rev counter is positioned at the top of the screen, with a scale compressed up to 9,000 rpm. At the same time, in the center, the rider finds the indication of the gear engaged, and on the right, the levels are set for the electronic controls (adjustable via the right rocker) and their activation. In the left column, the stopwatch, which by mounting the DDL accessory or via the GPS module, can show lap time with different split times, lap number and the indication of the improvement in absolute terms or about the session using the same color codes — white, grey, orange and red — used in MotoGP.

The new Streetfighter V4, available in V4 and V4 S versions, featuring Öhlins suspension and steering damper, forged rims and lithium battery, will arrive at dealerships in the U.S. in April 2025. Pricing for the Streetfighter V4 will be $23,395 and $29,295 for the V4 S model in the U.S. Both are offered in single-seater configuration with a passenger kit available as an accessory.
