OEM Update: Ziggy eMobility

Ziggy’s Global Director Gautam Jain and CEO Yasir Zoha visited MPN to discuss what’s new with the company and Ziggy's growth in the U.S. market.

Ziggy’s Global Director Gautam Jain and CEO Yasir Zoha visited MPN to discuss what’s new with the company and Ziggy’s growth in the U.S. market.

Ziggy’s parent company, RK Globals was incorporated in Dubai in 2004 as a distributor for global automotive brands such as Bajaj Auto, Vespa, Piaggio, Foton, Royal Enfield, MAN. Over the last 18 years, the company has successfully entered various complex markets in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Back in 2018, Zoha and Jain decided to explore opportunities in the electric mobility space and were blown away by the size of the U.S. powersports industry and the fact that there were limited options for consumers to find a valuable commuter product. Ziggy was then introduced, and received high anticipation based on the growing demand for personal mobility. Ziggy’s e-mopeds were officially launched in September 2020.

As a result, dealer response has been phenomenal for Ziggy. Dealers have been blown away by the build quality, ride and handling of Ziggy vehicles. Consumer response has been even more encouraging for the company. Some of the comments Ziggy has received compare Ziggy as “the Tesla of scooter world,” along with quality that is “comparable to that of a Toyota.”
