In a rapid response to an overnight theft, Find It Now GPS Security (FIN) sprang into action after two customers reported their Can-Am Maverick side-by-sides stolen from a prominent South Florida dealership. Their side-by-sides, currently undergoing service at the dealership, were stolen around 2:30 a.m. The thieves didn’t stop there, as they also targeted three additional side-by-sides, and FIN’s collaboration with a detective confirmed that all five side-by-sides were indeed stolen from the dealership.
Thanks to the pinpoint accuracy of the FIN GPS security devices installed in two of the high-performance Can-Ams, FIN was able to track and locate them promptly. Upon arrival of law enforcement, the two Can-Ams were found just a block apart. FIN immediately notified the dealership, ensuring it could coordinate with the police at the scene. Unfortunately, the other three side-by-sides lacked FIN devices, making their recovery more challenging. Law enforcement took possession of the two located side-by-sides, but the remaining three were not found in proximity.
Authorized by the authorities, the dealership loaded the recovered Can-Ams onto a trailer and returned them to the dealership for thorough inspection. Both owners received the good news that their vehicles were safe and sound in the dealership’s possession. While FIN had hoped to recover all five, the absence of FIN devices in the remaining vehicles limited the efforts of law enforcement. Nevertheless, this successful operation wouldn’t have been possible without the swift assistance of the police and the dedicated dealership employees who played a crucial role in the recovery process. The investigation remains ongoing.
