The seventh episode of the 2025 Ducati World Première unveils the new Streetfighter V4 and V4 S. A bike born from the application of Fight Formula on the new Panigale V4 — the seventh revolutionary generation of Ducati superbikes — sits at the top of its performance class while improving rider comfort and enjoyability in road use.

The new Streetfighter V4 is stripped of its fairings, with a high and wide handlebar, a weight of 417 pounds, a 205-horsepower Desmosedici Stradale engine, biplane wings and an electronics package that is unlike any other in the world.

Derived from the Panigale V4, it consists of the same engine, chassis and electronics configurations. The difference in horsepower is due to different intakes. For the first time, Ducati has chosen to transfer the technology and performance of the Panigale V4 to a naked bike without sparing anything, creating a bike that combines the best of both worlds — track handling like a supersport bike and road enjoyment like a true naked.

Its impressive power-to-weight ratio of .49 horsepower-per-pound obtained from a lighter engine combined with electronic and chassis developments such as DVO, Öhlins Smart EC3.0 suspension and the new Race eCBS braking system makes the Streetfighter V4 even more effective on the track.

At the same time, it can be fun on the road with superior comfort in everyday riding. This is thanks to the wider calibration range guaranteed by the suspensions to a more rigorous chassis that gives the rider a greater feeling and ease of riding with a more contained exhaust noise while simultaneously offering great character to the bike.

Desmosedici Stradale Engine

The Streetfighter V4 engine derives from the Panigale V4 with an even more direct link than the previous model. The Desmosedici Stradale is closely derived from the Ducati MotoGP bikes, which share numerous technical solutions, starting with the architecture. It is a 90-degree V4 with desmodromic distribution, counter-rotating crankshaft and Twin Pulse timing, which gives the Streetfighter V4 a sound similar to that of the Desmosedici GP.

The Desmosedici Stradale of the new Streetfighter V4 has had its distribution diagram revised compared to the version of the previous model with cams with a different profile and a higher lift value. The alternator and oil pump are the same as those mounted on the Panigale V4 R, while the gear drum is used on the Superleggera V4. For the first time, the Streetfighter V4 also features variable-length intake trumpets with a value of 25 millimeters in the short configuration and 80 millimeters in the long one, thus simultaneously increasing maximum power and rideability.

The Desmosedici Stradale engine delivers 205 horsepower at 12,650 rpm and a maximum torque of 88.3 pound-feet at 11,500 rpm.Values that can be higher in track configuration. By adopting the Ducati Performance by Akrapovič racing exhaust, the maximum power increases to 226 horsepower. The Streetfighter V4 has never been so powerful.

Design

The design of the new Streetfighter V4 maintains the unmistakable Streetfighter DNA, and its Panigale nature is stripped of the fairing. With more balanced proportions and distribution of volumes between the front and rear, the Streetfighter V4 has lines aimed at the front that make the bike look ready to launch toward the next bend. A completely new full-LED headlight enhances the aggressive face of the new Streetfighter, maintaining its iconic light signature. At the rear, the full LED light cluster is functionally divided into two parts, generating that double C that characterizes the sportiest Ducatis.

The 4.2-gallon tank, particularly narrow in fit and characterized by a distinct shoulder, is reflected in the tail, which is more elongated towards the rear, with a shorter license plate holder and the passenger seat positioned lower than the 2024 Streetfighter V4. Both components have been designed to combine style and functionality, improving ergonomics while riding.

The forward-slanting biplane wings, a distinctive element of the Streetfighter V4 since its inception, remain a key distinct element of the motorcycle. Compared to the previous model, they are more effective (more than 99 pounds of downforce at 167 miles-per-hour) and integrated more into the design line. The wings allow for a bike with very nimble chassis qualities but, at the same time, stability and rigorousness at high speeds. The exhaust under the engine maintains the stylistic imprint of Ducati sportbikes, keeping the center of gravity low and leaving a clear view of the new double-sided Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm, also visually lightened by the large exhaust openings on both sides.

Ergonomics

The riding position of the new Streetfighter V4 is derived from that of the Panigale V4. Still, it has been designed to improve vehicle control and increase comfort, especially for taller riders. The seat-tank unit offers more freedom of longitudinal movement thanks to greater room, making reaching and maintaining the aerodynamic posture more natural. A deep recess in the upper part avoids interference with the helmet chin guard.

At the same time, the rear area of the tank, combined with the side covers and the seat shape, increases support for the rider during braking, corner entry and cornering. The rider will find it easier to anchor himself with his knees to counteract deceleration and lean out of the saddle once the bike is in a curve, thus reducing the effort on the arms and, therefore, fatigue.

Compared to the previous Streetfighter V4, the bend of the handlebar has been moved back, now closer to the rider by 10 millimeters, and the footpegs are lower and more forward and positioned 10 millimeters further inward. This increases comfort for the rider without compromising ground clearance. The two vents inside the side panels move hot air away from the rider’s legs, improving thermal comfort.

MotoGP-Derived Chassis

Thanks to the very rigorous chassis of the new Panigale V4, it was not necessary to lengthen the swingarm to stabilize the bike with the new Streetfighter V4. Still, improving the front chassis dimensions (over 0.5-degree steering angle, over one millimeter on the trail) was sufficient to find the synthesis between agility and stability.

Just like the new Panigale, the chassis of the Streetfighter V4 is entirely new. The front frame is, therefore, lighter (7.5 pounds compared to the previous 9.7 pounds) and reduces stiffness compared to the previous model (-40% in lateral) to offer improved confidence when leaning in, taking the apex and maintaining the trajectory.

The double-sided Ducati Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm improves traction when exiting corners and the rider’s feeling in acceleration, with a reduction in lateral stiffness (-43% compared to the single-sided swingarm of the previous model) and an overall lightening of the swingarm-forged rear wheel assembly equal to six pounds. On the Streetfighter V4 S, the forged aluminum alloy wheels with five tangential spokes, inspired by those of the DesmosediciGP, weigh only 6.5 and ten pounds, respectively, for the front and rear.

The third-generation electronically controlled Öhlins NIX/TTX suspension of the Streetfighter V4 S expands its adjustment spectrum, allowing more comfortable calibrations for road use and more sustained and effective when riding between the curbs of a circuit. At the same time, the increased speed of the hydraulic valves offers a more precise and accurate response in every riding situation. Furthermore, compared to the Panigale V4, the rear suspension link is more progressive to provide greater comfort on the road, which is increased thanks to “Cruise Detection.” The latter softens the suspension when it detects a constant pace, such as on motorway transfers, significantly increasing rider comfort.

Like the new Ducati Panigale V4, the Streetfighter V4 also mounts Brembo Hypure front brake calipers. Lighter (down two ounces per pair compared to the Stylema of the previous model) and higher performing, the Brembo Hypure calipers disperse the heat generated by braking more effectively, offering more consistent performance for riders seeking their limits.

The Race eCBS system with cornering functionality, developed by Ducati in collaboration with Bosch, can activate and modulate the rear brake, limiting load transfers and improving the stability of the bike in the braking phase both in road and track use, even when the rider only applies the front brake. The system, which offers five levels against the three of the previous Streetfighter model, intervenes similarly to what is done by professional riders at the lowest levels, reserved for track use, while improving safety and stability at the higher levels, designed for road use.

Ducati Vehicle Observer

The Ducati Vehicle Observer, an algorithm developed by Ducati Corse in MotoGP, simulates the input of over 70 sensors, thus refining the electronic control strategies, which can achieve unprecedented effectiveness in series production. The precision of this functionality allows the controls to intervene in an almost predictive way to promptly accommodate the rider’s needs in the search for maximum performance.

The 2025 Streetfighter V4 has a complete package of electronic controls: Ducati Traction Control DVO, Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Wheelie Control DVO, Ducati Power Launch DVO, Engine Brake Control and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0. The DQS 2.0 system uses a strategy based solely on the gear drum angular position sensor, thus being able to use a gearshift rod without microswitches and, therefore, offering the rider a more direct feeling with reduced travel.

New 8:3 Dashboard

The new 6.9-inch dashboard with 8:3 “aspect ratio” offers maximum readability. The protective glass uses Optical Bonding technology to provide optimal readability on a black background, even during the day. The interface offers differentiated views (Infomode) for use on the road or the track to support the rider in the search for maximum performance in the second in either environment.

The dashboard dynamically changes its layout, moving the columns and redistributing the spaces to offer maximum visibility to the functions that are being used at the moment, such as the navigator. Similarly, by selecting the Views mode, the left column gains space by moving the rev counter to the right and compressing the right column to display the different functions available, including the TPMS, instantaneous torque and power delivered, lateral and longitudinal acceleration values, instantaneous lean angles and action on the throttle and brake.

The Road Infomode has very clean graphics, emphasizing the round rev counter placed in the center and indicating the engaged gear inside. The left side of the screen is reserved for the settings, the navigator (if installed), the music player, the management of the smartphone and accessory heated grips, and the different functions available for each of these features. On the right side are the indications of speed, time, water temperature and cruise control, if enabled.

The Track mode, combined by default with the Race Riding Mode, is designed to emphasize the most relevant information in circuit riding. The rev counter is positioned at the top of the screen, with a scale compressed up to 9,000 rpm. At the same time, in the center, the rider finds the indication of the gear engaged, and on the right, the levels are set for the electronic controls (adjustable via the right rocker) and their activation. In the left column, the stopwatch, which by mounting the DDL accessory or via the GPS module, can show lap time with different split times, lap number and the indication of the improvement in absolute terms or about the session using the same color codes — white, grey, orange and red — used in MotoGP.

The new Streetfighter V4, available in V4 and V4 S versions, featuring Öhlins suspension and steering damper, forged rims and lithium battery, will arrive at dealerships in the U.S. in April 2025. Pricing for the Streetfighter V4 will be $23,395 and $29,295 for the V4 S model in the U.S. Both are offered in single-seater configuration with a passenger kit available as an accessory.

The latest incarnation of one of the most acclaimed bikes by critics and fans alike has now landed. It’s not just any naked bike — it’s the Aprilia Tuono, which has always served as a point of reference in the category, both for its efficiency and the sporty feeling it delivers, both when riding on the road and pushing the limits on the track. Aprilia was the first to understand the advantages of creating a more pared-back version of its sports bike with an elevated riding position, giving each generation of the Tuono unparalleled dynamic qualities. The new Aprilia Tuono V4 is heir to a dynasty of motorcycles that have been hailed over time as among the most adrenaline-filled rides ever, and the level of performance and sophistication that these bikes offer has now reached its peak thanks to Aprilia’s expertise, acquired over years of winning competitions at the highest level.

The Tuono family is more diverse and complete than ever and can accompany the rider on his or her personal growth journey, while offering thrillingly sporty models that live up to the brand’s reputation. The range includes the Tuono 125, the striking entry-level bike; the Tuono 457, which is light, advanced and fun, perfect for new riders; the Tuono 660 Factory, with a record-breaking power-weight ratio that makes it super light and accessible to all; and finally the Tuono V4, the culmination of an exciting riding career.

There are two models available, distinguished by their individual set-ups: The Tuono V4 is the ultimate hypernaked bike for sporty road riding, offering unrivaled thrills with the option of making it more comfortable for touring thanks to an extensive range of original Aprilia accessories; meanwhile, the Tuono V4 Factory is an even more exclusive version of the bike, dedicated to the most exacting riders, and equipped with components that are largely derived from the Aprilia RSV4.

The new design is a contemporary, bold expression of the stylistic language that is typical of all Aprilia bikes, and it is characterized by compact, pared-back shapes which enhance its sporty appearance. As is traditional, the new Tuono V4 models also feature the fairing attached to the frame, which is essential in order to ensure a lightweight, precise and responsive front end. Now, however, the design has been totally overhauled to offer more protection from the air flow and now accommodates two overlapping wing surfaces which can increase the vertical load by 2.5 kilograms at 250 km/h. The layout of the winglets, inspired by Aprilia’s experience in MotoGP, was developed in the wind tunnel and enables increased road adherence and thus more precise cornering, an area in which previous versions of the Tuono V4 already excelled, as well as stability at high speeds. In addition, the new design helps to improve heat dissipation thanks to the presence of more powerful radiator fans, as well as increasing rider comfort, diverting the hot air flows away from the legs. The design of the side panels is also new; they are now better integrated with the style of the new tailpiece. The rear light cluster is lighter and simpler in its design, and it is integrated into the license plate holder; all of the lighting functions are performed by the turn signals. This means that the license plate holder simply needs to be removed in order to prepare the bike for use on the track.

The set-up of the new Aprilia Tuono V4 models includes the lightweight lithium battery, the TFT 5-inch color instrument panel with new graphics and the backlit electric control blocks on the handlebar.

The Tuono V4 and Tuono V4 Factory are powered by the famous and multi-winning Aprilia four-cylinder 65-degree V engine with unique features. The narrow V shape has enabled the creation of an engine with an incredibly small longitudinal footprint, enabling the masses to be centralized and facilitating a compact chassis design. There is no other engine out there that can boast a success story spanning more than a decade — a platform that can meet the requirements of the most advanced sports rider, as well as representing an outstanding basis for the development of a racing engine. The Noale-made V4 has been increased from 1077 to 1099cc and now features a set of 52-millimeter throttle bodies. The exhaust system is also new, with the catalytic converter located in a different position, decreasing the heat that reaches the rider and making it easier to fit the type-approved slip-on exhaust, part of Aprilia’s extensive range of accessories. In accordance with the new Euro 5+ standard, the maximum power has now been increased to 180 horsepower at 11,800 rpm, with exceptional maximum torque values (121 newton meters at 9,600 rpm), for even more efficient, adrenaline-fueled riding on both road and track.

The chassis of the Tuono V4 has always served as a point of reference within the category. Aprilia’s expertise in creating exceptional chassis is key here, and on the new Tuono V4 bikes, the design has reached an extraordinary level of maturity. For the first time ever, the aluminum dual-beam frame is painted in an edgy matte black shade on the Tuono V4.

For all new Aprilia V4s, a new chapter has begun when it comes to the on-board electronics which manage the active rider assistance systems. A new generation of control systems, which can also be bought as “in-app purchases” that do not require a visit to the dealership, offer the best electronic configuration to meet the rider’s requirements and riding style. For the first time, Aprilia has introduced a series of electronics packages that represent the optimal combination of performance and safety, adding various new features and adjustments to the Tuono V4 equipment, which is already impressive. The system helps the rider to reach his or her limits in total safety, thus enabling gradual improvements. This has been made possible by the introduction of new adaptive/predictive components on the wheelie, traction and yaw controls.

The predictive component of the algorithm processes the vehicle parameters in real time (speed, lean angle, gears, throttle opening etc.) in order to prepare for the system intervention in advance, in a gradual, targeted manner. In addition to this, the cutting-edge software continuously analyzes the vehicle’s dynamic responses and the individual riding style, offering even more refined, effective control.

The six-axis inertial platform, Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle and three riding modes that manage the three levels of Cornering ABS (anti-lock brakes) come as standard on both models, as well as the controls that are offered by the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC), the notable package of control systems directly derived from racing. This includes the following:

 • Aprilia Traction Control (ATC): The traction control system that can be adjusted across eight levels while riding without closing the throttle. This system now offers more effective intervention and works in synergy with the new Aprilia Slide Control (ASC) system, which can be adjusted across three independent levels.
 • New: Aprilia Wheelie Control (AWC): The new wheelie control system that can be adjusted across three levels, with predictive functions. The intervention does not abruptly step in to mitigate a wheelie that has already started, but rather acts gently before the event occurs, to the benefit of performance. The adaptive function, dedicated to track sessions, learns the rider’s characteristics and adjusts the level of intervention required to ensure the best possible performance.
 • Aprilia Engine Map (AEM): With three different mapping options to change the character and the way the engine delivers power
 • Aprilia Engine Brake (AEB): The engine braking control system that can be adjusted across three levels, with a specific algorithm that optimizes function whilst taking the lean angle into account
 • Aprilia Quick Shift (AQS): The electronic gearbox for super-fast shifts without closing the throttle or using the clutch, with a downshift function that lets the rider downshift without having to press the clutch. Also allows downshifting with the throttle open.

Standard equipment on the Tuono V4 Factory includes:

 • Race dashboard: The instrumentation configuration dedicated to the track
 • Aprilia Launch Control (ALC): The launch control system for track use only, adjustable across three levels, with highly efficient operation strategies
 • Aprilia Pit Limiter (APL): The system that makes it possible to select and limit the maximum speed permitted in order to ride along the pit lane of racetracks, or to enable easy adherence to the speed limits on normal roads
 • New: Aprilia Slide Control (ASC): The new adjustable function that can prevent and limit the lateral slide of the rear wheel. Like the new AWC, the ASC also features predictive functions.
 • Bending lights: The pair of additional headlights in the reflectors that illuminate the inside of the curve, increasing visibility when leaning
 • Aprilia Cruise Control (ACC): Very convenient during longer rides, as it allows the rider to maintain the set speed without having to touch the throttle.

The Race Pack, only available on the Tuono V4 Factory, includes the GPS Module that also enables automatic detection of lap times on the track, just like in racing motorcycles. The Race Pack offers:

 • Corner-by-corner function: As on the most advanced racing bikes, this system automatically changes the electronic ATC and AWC settings in accordance with those enabled by the rider before going out on the track. It is the most advanced version of the corner-by-corner electronics management system that Aprilia first introduced back in 2015.

The Suspension Pack, which requires the GPS Model, is only available on the Tuono V4 Factory and offers:

 • Corner-by-corner suspension functionality: This system automatically changes the electronic settings of the Öhlins Semi-Active Smart EC 2.0 suspension in accordance with the settings enabled by the rider before going out on the track.

The Race Pack and Suspension Pack use the new fourth-generation Aprilia MIA, Aprilia’s multimedia platform (offered as an accessory on both models) which enables smartphone connection to the bike, extending the functions of the instrumentation. At the end of each track session, the data from the engine control unit (ECU) can be downloaded and analyzed on the computer — a telemetry system worthy of the best racing bikes.

The Aprilia Tuono V4

2025 Aprilia Tuono V4

The new Aprilia Tuono V4 was inspired by the desire to offer a more street-focused version of the bike that would make full use of the Tuono V4’s exceptional technical and engine-related features, offering the same unique characteristics and riding pleasure — the Tuono V4’s heritage — to motorcyclists who use the bike for a wider range of rides. The Tuono V4’s seat-pedal-handlebar triangle configuration is identical to that of the Tuono V4 Factory and is clearly focused on sportiness, but it can be modified with higher handlebar risers for a more upright, relaxed riding position. The dedicated passenger accessories include a wider seat and two large grab handles.

The Aprilia Tuono V4 is equipped with a trio of Sachs suspensions. These are fully adjustable, enabling every individual to find his or her own perfect setup, whether more focused on sporty track riding or adventures on the road. The V4 engine with its unique character and sound is the same as that installed on the Tuono V4 Factory. There are two color variants available: Shark Gray and Scorpion Yellow, both matte, to enhance the philosophy of the Tuono family: a sporty bike in evening attire. The single-seat tailpiece that replaces the passenger seat comes as standard.

The Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory

2025 Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory

The jewel in the crown of Aprilia’s Tuono V4 range, and the most sophisticated and sporty bike currently available, it offers the cutting-edge Öhlins electronic suspension system as standard, developed in close collaboration with Aprilia engineers. The special technology of the Semi-Active Smart EC 2.0 suspension system enables easy custom calibration of the fork, shock absorber and steering damper. The Track Pack and the Comfort Pack are offered as standard, as well as the single-seater tailpiece that replaces the passenger seat. It is available in the unique Dark Kraken graphic version, which makes the Factory immediately recognizable, not least because of its pairing with the two-tone seat. The range of dedicated accessories for the Tuono V4 Factory is also extensive: handlebar risers for a more elevated ride, various parts in high-quality carbon, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors and the slip-on carbon exhaust type-approved by SC Project.

The collaboration between Aprilia and Alpinestars continues, giving rise to a complete line of clothing dedicated to the Aprilia V4 models. The Throttle Leather full leather suit provides superb performance and fit, pairing perfectly with the Throttle Leather Suit gloves, crafted from full-grain goatskin leather. The new outfit also includes a range of pieces for road use including the Twisties Tex fabric jacket with removable winter lining and the Throttle Leather Jacket with Nucleon Flex Plus protectors designed to accommodate the airbag. The Twisties gloves with leather palm and multilayer construction with carbon protectors are a further new addition to the range.

The public appreciated the previous Tuono 660 Factory so much that Aprilia decided to leave the new version as the only model in the range. The new Tuono 660 Factory is a true generator of emotions within everyone’s reach, fully in keeping with Aprilia’s 660 project for motorbikes with an outstanding weight/power ratio, lightweight and high- performing, built around its next generation, highly modern and technological straight-twin engine.

With the aim of being even more incisive and fun for racing on the road, the outfitting of the new Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory has taken another step up to include the advanced Öhlins suspensions: The fork is of the NIX 30 series with 43-millimeter stems, while the STX 46 shock absorber has a built-in tank. Both units can be fine-tuned in terms of rebound and compression damping, and in spring pre-load too.

Further improvement to the weight/power ratio, one of the main goals of all the Aprilia 660 bikes and already at the top on the previous version, the curb weight of 181 kilograms is now associated with the new maximum power value of 105 horsepower, provided by the 660cc straight-twin transverse engine with a double overhead cam timing system and four valves per cylinder, obtained thanks also to the use of the new and bigger 52-millimeter throttle bodies in place of the previous 48-millimeter ones. There’s also a 35-kilowatt restricted version: a compact and lightweight next generation unit resulting from the experience acquired on the hugely powerful engine fitted on the RSV4, and with which it shares the same construction philosophy and basic concepts. The engine also has a load-bearing function, with its rear area housing the aluminum fork.

The combustion chambers are asymmetrical, staggered by 270 degrees to obtain irregular sparks and therefore performance and sounds similar to a V-twin engine. This layout helps to create a compact, lightweight and yet rigid structure thanks to a frame with two side beams bolted in the area of the steering connecting rod and in the back part, echoing the Aprilia tradition of producing exquisite chassis. For the first time on the Tuono 660, the frame/swingarm unit is painted a gutsy black.

Tuono 660 Factory is equipped with the complete series of electronic Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) controls as standard, with the electronic Ride-by-Wire accelerator and inertial six-axis platform. The latter, thanks to the accelerometers and gyroscopes it contains, is able to recognize the bike condition in relation to the road; it records and processes the input obtained while traveling, and sends the data to the control unit which intervenes to optimize the control parameters. The Tuono 660 Factory APRC now boasts launch control (ALC) — the system that manages standing starts and is normally used on competition bikes. The APRC includes Aprilia Traction Control (ATC) — adjustable traction control characterized by high-performing fine intervention logics; Aprilia Wheelie Control (AWC) — the adjustable nose-up control system; Aprilia Cruise Control (ACC) for maintaining the set speed without using throttle control; Aprilia Quick Shift (AQS) — an electronic gearbox for very fast gear changes without leaving the accelerator or using the clutch (and also fitted with a downshift function for shifting down without touching the clutch); Aprilia Engine Brake( AEB) — the system for adjustable engine brake control during throttle-off; and Aprilia Engine Map (AEM) that provides different mappings to change the character and way of dispensing engine power.

As before, Tuono 660 Factory has multi-map anti-lock brake (ABS) cornering, a system (of extremely limited weight and size) that optimizes braking and the intervention of ABS on bends thanks to a specific algorithm which constantly monitors various parameters such as lateral acceleration; pressure on the front brake lever; and the turning, roll and yaw angles, modulating the action of the brakes to combine deceleration and stability in the best possible way.

Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory has stepped up its on-board electronics too; the more lavish accessories now include new electric commands to the back-lit handlebar, and a larger (5-inch) new color instrument panel with optic bonding (boosting brightness and reducing reflections), able to provide more information.

The design of the new Tuono 660 Factory continues to stand out for its small footrests that emphasize its sporty character, and by the innovative choice of a twin fairing acting as an aerodynamic appendage. The pressure of the air channelled between the two walls helps to boost stability at high speeds and at the same time enhances the rider’s comfort and protects him or her from direct flows, even diverting the hot air taken from the engine. The new Tuono 660 Factory is distinguished by superstructures for the new design of the front area and by the absence of the push rod underneath the engine (avoiding extra weight), not to mention its more streamlined style. The accessories also include a single-seater tail that can replace the passenger seat — lighter than the previous one and with a renewed design that increases the space for the rider, making it possible to sit further back to ensure greater protection from the air when lying low on the tank.

The immense success of the RS 660, sold in 72 countries, stems from Aprilia’s highly successful 660 project, which redefines sportiness in an innovative and contemporary key through a range of lightweight, high-performance motorbikes featuring superior technical and electronic attributes. These bikes are accessible and enjoyable for everyday use by new riders while also providing thrilling track performance for experienced riders.

We can see this in the results achieved across all the championships where the Aprilia RS 660 competes, including the Sport Bike class in British Superbike and the Twins Cup in MotoAmerica, where it has consistently been among the leaders and won the 2024 title. But it is also revealed by Miguel Oliveira’s remarkable lap time of 1:45:467 in the Race of Stars, a contest between the best Aprilia riders past and present, held during the grand Aprilia All Stars event at the Misano circuit.

For the first time in this class, the RS 660 offers technical features derived from Aprilia’s world championship racing experience, a formula designed to enhance road riding enjoyment. Its lightweight design — just 183 kilograms in running order — and the superb Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) electronic control package complete this ideal formula. The RS 660 embodies the essence of the Aprilia brand, a perfect combination of innovation, technology, and design.

Aprilia RS 660

2025 Aprilia RS 660

From its inception, the Aprilia RS 660 has set the standard for a new category of motorcycles, which it essentially pioneered. The development of this solid and well-regarded project aims for excellence. It introduces aerodynamic solutions typically reserved for superbikes, reaffirming Aprilia’s superiority in this field. The fairing has been completely redesigned. While maintaining its core principles of dynamic, modern shapes with compact surfaces, it now features more advanced aerodynamics, incorporating concepts from Aprilia’s MotoGP experience. A large wing is now positioned beneath the windshield, along with two smaller aerodynamic appendages that enhance airflow penetration and high-speed stability.

The redesigned side fairings retain the double-layer structure with an integrated aerodynamic appendage, an exceptionally innovative solution. Developing these new features proved challenging, as the goal was to integrate design with functionality seamlessly. Their efficiency was first analyzed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software before testing in a wind tunnel and finally on both road and track. The goal was to enhance performance while improving rider comfort by shielding them from air pressure and diverting hot air flows extracted from the engine and radiator.

The Aprilia RS 660 has also evolved in onboard electronics: The equipment is now more comprehensive, featuring new backlit handlebar controls and a larger, 5-inch, full-color instrument cluster with optical bonding, which enhances brightness and reduces reflections, offering more information.

One of the standout features of the Aprilia RS 660 is its electronic systems, designed to enhance both performance and safety. From the first version, it has offered the most comprehensive system in its category, surpassing superbike-class machines.

Aprilia has always been at the cutting edge of electronic innovation (it was the first to introduce Ride-by-Wire throttle control in 2007) and now boasts the full APRC electronic control package. Designed for top-level competition, both the public and critics widely regard it as one of the most advanced systems on the market.

The APRC on the new Aprilia RS 660 now includes launch control, a standing start management system typically deployed on competition bikes. This system complements the already comprehensive set of features, including adjustable and switchable traction control (ATC); adjustable and switchable wheelie control (AWC); cruise control (ACC), allowing the rider to maintain a set speed without using the throttle); bidirectional quick-shifter (AQS), adjustable engine brake control (AEB); and multiple engine maps that modify power delivery characteristics (AEM). As before, the Aprilia RS 660 comes standard with an electronic Ride-by-Wire throttle and a six-axis inertial platform. This platform uses accelerometers and gyroscopes to detect the bike’s position relative to the road, processing rider inputs and sending data to the engine control unit (ECU) to adjust control parameters as needed. It also comes with multi-map cornering anti-lock brakes (ABS), optimizing braking and ABS intervention in corners through a specific algorithm. This algorithm constantly monitors various parameters, such as lateral acceleration, pressure on the front brake lever, lean angle, pitch and yaw, modulating the braking action to balance deceleration and stability optimally.

The 660cc forward-facing twin-cylinder engine, a compact and lightweight latest-generation unit, already delivering record performance for its class, now complies with Euro 5+ standards. With the adoption of larger diameter throttle bodies (52 millimeters instead of the previous 48 millimeters), the RS 660 now outputs 105 horsepower (with a 35-kilowatt restricted version also available). The engine also acts as a stressed member, contributing to a compact, lightweight and rigid structure through a twin-spar frame bolted to the steering head and rear, in keeping with Aprilia’s tradition of refined chassis design.

Two color variants are available: Venom Yellow and Blue Marlin. In both cases, Aprilia’s designers have focused on creating dynamic graphics and colors that emphasize the RS 660’s sportiness. This design philosophy is the common thread across all current faired Aprilia motorcycles, from the RS 125 to the RSV4.

Aprilia RS 660 Factory

2025 Aprilia RS 660 Factory

Long awaited by enthusiasts since the announcement of the 660 series, the RS 660 Factory version is finally here.

A name synonymous with racing spirit and uncompromising components, this is the sportiest and most exclusive model in the RS 660 range.

In keeping with Noale superbike tradition, the RS 660 Factory comes standard with advanced Öhlins suspension: the 43-millimeter NIX 30 series fork and STX 46 shock absorber with an integrated reservoir, both with fully adjustable hydraulic rebound and compression damping and spring preload. The two-tone seat and new graphics, featuring black on the sides and red on the upper section, set this premium version apart.

A wide range of new accessories is available for sports and touring. The single-seat tail unit can replace the passenger seat: lighter than the previous version, it features a revised design, providing more space for the rider and improving the ability to move back for better wind protection when in a tucked position.

This, combined with the more powerful engine and more efficient aerodynamics, gives the Aprilia RS 660 Factory a top speed of 240 km/h. The thermoformed luggage set is aerodynamic and ergonomically compatible with the passenger seat. The GPS module allows for automatic recording of track times. The SC-Project homologated exhaust and a range of premium components are made from billet aluminum.

Also noteworthy are the new clothing items created in partnership with Alpinestars, ideally suited for the RS 660, including the Aprilia Throttle Leather Jacket, the Aprilia Twisties Tex Jacket and the Aprilia Twisties Leather Gloves.

The post 2025 Aprilia Tuono 457 appeared first on Motorcycle & Powersports News.

]]>
A new Aprilia Tuono is born, and new generations of motorcyclists — among the most knowledgeable and passionate out there — know that a new machine dedicated to pure fun is about to land.

Young motorcyclists have already demonstrated their appreciation for Aprilia’s skill in understanding and interpreting their desire for fun with the RS 457, a model that was conceived in Noale, Italy, and which harnesses all of Aprilia’s extensive knowledge in designing and building a true sports bike.

This excellent technical base provides the building blocks for the Aprilia Tuono 457, unveiled to new riders as a true naked bike, dedicated to day-to-day riding and leisure-time fun. The new Aprilia bears a legendary name which has always been synonymous with cutting-edge technology, maximum performance and absolute enjoyment both on the road and on the track.

Tuono 457 is the latest heir to a tradition of excellence in high-handlebar sports bikes offering a superb, adrenaline-filled ride. As such, the 457 is undoubtedly a Tuono to all intents and purposes, but it also has a number of differences that render it all the more exclusive: It is the only bike in the range that does not have a fairing integrated into the frame. In its place — for the first time on a Tuono — is a pared-back light cluster, worthy of a true naked bike. It’s the most non-conformist and rebellious Tuono that has ever been, and whilst it retains the core features of all Tuono bikes, the new model boasts an all-new look, designed to satisfy the needs and desires of the youngest generation at which it is aimed.

A Fresh New Design

The entire design of the Tuono 457 is new, and has grown from a blank sheet, upon which Aprilia’s designers have sketched the pared-back lines and compact surfaces of a true naked bike — an evolution of the stylistic language that makes all Aprilia bikes instantly recognizable and utterly unique. The full LED front light cluster retains the characteristic triple headlight that typifies all Aprilia models, interpreted here in an innovative manner, with a small lower spoiler — a homage to that on the legendary Tuono 1000 R twin-cylinder which also reflects the design of all Aprilia road bikes in the range, where the application of advanced aerodynamic solutions is clear to see.

The new tank shape expresses a sense of sportiness and has an ergonomic design which is specifically conceived to match the wide handlebar, for a dynamic, fun ride.

Also new is the design of the side panels and tailpiece, which echo the essential styling of the Tuono 457. The rear light cluster is also full LED, while the twin-cylinder engine with load-bearing function is intentionally left uncovered, highlighting its uniqueness in this category, as is the twin-beam aluminum frame. The decision to locate the exhaust system under the engine also contributes to the clean look of the bike, while also providing greater freedom in terms of the positioning of the passenger footrests. The seat, which is 800 millimeters from the ground, is tapered at the sides to aid the rider when placing a foot on the ground; the passenger seat is roomy, while the single-seat tailpiece is available as an accessory.

Top-Level Power/Weight Ratio

The Tuono 457 is crafted around the ultra-modern 457cc twin-cylinder engine which has just been introduced on the RS 457, the jewel in Aprilia’s technological crown.

It is a liquid-cooled, parallel front twin-cylinder engine with double camshaft timing and four valves per cylinder, which has a maximum power output of 35 kilowatts (47.6 horsepower) at 9,400 rpm — the maximum possible for a motorbike that can be ridden with an A2 license — and a torque of 43.5 newton meters at 6,700 rpm, 82% of which is already available at 3,000 rpm. The bike offers record levels of performance for a front twin-cylinder with this engine size.

This latest-generation engine is extremely compact and light, helping to achieve a record power/weight ratio, the key priority for Noale’s designers: Indeed, the bike’s dry weight is just 159 kilograms. The specific layout of the engine was selected to optimize lightness and compactness as far as possible, leaving plenty of freedom when designing the chassis; the engine also has a load-bearing function, with the swingarm mount incorporated into the rear.

Aprilia’s twin-cylinder engine draws on the experience gained with the super-powerful 1,100cc V4 engine fitted on the RSV4 and later on the 659cc twin-cylinder engine fitted to the 660 range.

Aprilia’s technicians have worked to optimize the overall dimensions, fully integrating the cooling circuit and the blow-by recovery circuit into the engine, enabling external piping to be eliminated. The crankcase is split horizontally into two parts in order to further reduce bulk and make the structure more robust.

Various solutions have been used to minimize internal friction. The cylinders are offset by around 6.5 millimeters from the crankshaft, reducing friction during the piston thrust; the countershaft and the water pump work on roller bearings instead of bushings, and the piston pins undergo a diamond-like carbon (DLC) surface treatment. Finally, the gearbox uses roller cages instead of bushings — the same as on Aprilia’s V4 engines — and in addition, it boasts a new patented lubrication solution with a system integrated into the axles of the shift forks. The cam axles of the four-valve/cylinder twin camshaft timing system, driven by a lateral chain, are hollow and use calibrated cups — which help to reduce inertia — in order to move the valves. The oil-bath multi-disc clutch is power-assisted and has an anti-hopping system. Unlike the RS 457, the final drive train of the Tuono 457 is shorter as a result of the adoption of a crown wheel with an extra tooth, which enables even greater responsiveness at every touch of the electronic Ride-by-Wire multi-map throttle.

The Chassis: Absolute Lightness and Agility

The new Tuono 457 benefits from Aprilia’s invaluable, winning expertise, gained through years of competing, and is the only bike in its segment with an aluminum frame.

To achieve the very best compromise between rigidity and weight, the shapes of the chassis were optimized using computer-aided engineering (CAE), along with a host of on-road development sessions. The resulting layout is devoted to maximum lightness, which ensures the dynamic behavior and the characteristic front-axle feel common to all Aprilia bikes. The chassis is forged from two lateral aluminum beams, bolted onto the steering head and at the rear; the engine functions as a load-bearing element — a solution inspired by the highly successful engine on the 660 road range — which enables the creation of a compact, light and rigid structure. This solution delivers the best power/weight ratio in the category. In order to allow the chassis to fully express its superb handling and precision to the full, cutting-edge suspensions have been selected, and the calibration of the latter delivers maximum fun and the best possible control in every situation. The fork with 41-millimeter stems and 120 millimeters of travel has a preload adjustment setting, and the rear shock absorber (with 130 millimeters of travel), which supports the asymmetrical steel swingarm, is adjustable too.

The braking system features ByBre calipers, the front of which has a radial mount and manipulates the 320-millimeter steel disc and 220-millimeter managed by the rear caliper. The brake lever on the handlebar is adjustable, ensuring the best ergonomic position at all times. The system is assisted by a Bosch two-channel anti-lock brake (ABS) system with dual-mapping, available either on both wheels or only on the front. The 17-inch rims fit tires measuring 110/70 at the front and 150/60 at the back — perfect for emphasizing the spectacular agility that the features of the chassis deliver.

Electronic Control Systems for Safety and Fun

The electronic equipment of the Tuono 457 continues Aprilia’s technological tradition, and is the most comprehensive in this category, developed with the dual goal of enhancing riding fun and ensuring maximum safety under all conditions. The Ride-by-Wire system — which Aprilia introduced first, both in MotoGP with the futuristic RS Cube, and in mass production with the Shiver — boasts three riding modes that adjust the power and torque delivery and the traction control, which can be set to three levels as well as disengaged. The Aprilia riding modes are also conceived to make life in the seat easier: The rider simply selects the mode best suited to his or her riding style or situation in order to enjoy the optimal engine management and traction control settings.

The three riding modes are as follows:

 • ECO: The power delivered by the engine is progressive, while the traction control intervention level is set to medium (Level 2) — perfect for longer journeys and for day-to-day riding
 • SPORT: The perfect mode for sporting riding, with a more prompt, dynamic power delivery from the engine and less invasive traction control (Level 1)
 • RAIN: a riding mode designed for use in low-grip conditions and on wet tarmac. The power delivery is very smooth, whilst the traction control is set to maximum (Level 3) for total safety when accelerating.

The Aprilia Traction Control (ATC) system can always be adjusted, regardless of the riding mode selected, including while riding, by using the handy UP and DOWN buttons on the left-hand command block. In all riding modes, the ABS is set to the maximum level and is engaged on both wheels. The ABS can be disengaged from the rear wheel when the bike is stationary by pressing and holding the riding mode button in order to maximize the sporty ride when on the track, for example.

The extensive catalog of dedicated accessories also includes the Aprilia Quick Shift (AQS) system, the bi-directional electronic gearbox, for super-fast gear changes without having to close the throttle or use the clutch, which is also available when downshifting.

The Tuono 457 equipment also includes the cutting-edge TFT 5-inch color instrument panel as standard, as well as the practical, intuitive back-lit commands on the handlebar. The Aprilia MIA system is another accessory that further extends the functionality of the instrumentation. This multi-media platform enables the rider to connect his or her smartphone to the bike. The system offers a connection protocol which minimizes smartphone battery consumption, and includes both the infotainment system — for managing the voice assistant, calls and music via the intuitive handlebar controls — and the navigation function, which enables the rider to view pictogram directions directly on the instrument panel after setting the travel destination on the associated smartphone. The Aprilia MIA app also enables the routes taken to be memorized as well as analyzing the data acquired directly on the app, using the geo-referenced telemetry function.

Versions and Colors

The Aprilia Tuono 457 comes in two different graphic versions. The Piranha Red livery boasts the classic colors of Aprilia’s history — black and red — which serve to highlight the sporty nature of the Tuono 457. The second graphic version is called Puma Gray and features more sober colors, grey and white, which lend the Tuono 457 a more urban look.

The post 2025 Aprilia RSV4 and RSV4 Factory appeared first on Motorcycle & Powersports News.

]]>
The Aprilia RSV4’s story is one of the most fascinating in motorcycling. Created to win on the track, it dominated for a decade, earning critical acclaim and racing victories across every category it entered. In its most extreme iteration, it even competed in the MotoGP World Championship. No other superbike can boast such a pedigree.

In a sector where motorcycles represent the pinnacle of available technology, Aprilia has demonstrated exceptional design foresight by creating and continuously evolving an innovative and winning project that remains the benchmark for racing pedigree and performance. The RSV4 exemplifies the extraordinary potential derived from the invaluable experience of Aprilia’s Reparto Corse. Reparto Corse has claimed 54 world titles in its relatively brief history, with the RSV4 securing seven of these in the World Superbike Championship.

This extraordinary model’s evolution has continued with an update primarily focusing on styling, closely intertwined with function. The new design emerges from extensive work on applied aerodynamics, confirming Aprilia’s commitment to pioneering increasingly complex and innovative solutions. Aprilia led the way in introducing aerodynamic appendages to superbikes (with the 2018 RSV4 RF LE).

Given the racing performance now delivered by the RSV4, aerodynamic development has become more critical than ever — ensuring maximum stability on the tarmac, optimizing tire grip and harnessing every bit of power generated by the Noale V4. The new RSV4’s bodywork has been completely redesigned with two primary aims: to improve rider protection and reduce drag.

2025 Aprilia RSV4
2025 Aprilia RSV4

Two stacked wing surfaces have been introduced in the area beneath the windshield. This new winglet configuration, derived from Aprilia’s MotoGP experience and refined in the wind tunnel, increases downforce, thus enhancing cornering precision and high-speed stability — areas in which previous RSV4 models already excelled. The new aerodynamics also help to reduce the heat directed towards the rider, partly because of the introduction of new, more powerful radiator fans. Overall, the new fairing reduces the aerodynamic drag coefficient (CX) by 6% and the tendency to wheelie by 8% compared to the previous version of the RSV4, delivering increased acceleration with less physical effort required. New side panels integrate seamlessly with the redesigned tail section. The lighter, minimalist rear light cluster is integrated into the numberplate holder. The indicators handle all lighting functions. Therefore, the bike can be prepared for track use by removing the numberplate holder.

The new RSV4 has a 5-inch TFT color instrument cluster featuring revised graphics, a fuel level indicator and new backlit control switches on the handlebars. The upper triple clamp is also new and made from lighter aluminum, while the top-spec Brembo braking system has been further enhanced with new front Hypure calipers, which are lighter and more efficient than the previous Stylema calipers.

Aprilia’s V4 engine powers the RSV4 and RSV4 Factory. It is the world’s first mass-produced high-performance narrow-angle V4 and the most revolutionary and powerful engine Aprilia has ever built. Despite complying with Euro 5+ regulations, it delivers increased torque and power: 220 horsepower at 13,100 rpm and 125 newton-meters at 10,800 rpm, making the RSV4 the world’s most powerful homologated production superbike. These benchmark figures result from refinement work on Noale’s exceptional V4 engine, which now features a set of 52-millimeter throttle bodies and a new exhaust system. The catalytic converter has been repositioned to reduce heat emissions towards the rider and simplify the fitting of the homologated slip-on exhaust from Aprilia’s comprehensive accessories range. A new chapter has opened for the onboard electronics in all new Aprilia V4 models, which control the active rider assistance systems. Aprilia has introduced a new generation of control systems, available as in-app purchases, enabling riders to optimize electronic settings according to their riding styles and requirements without needing to visit a dealer. Aprilia’s new electronics packages balance performance and safety, adding fresh functions and adjustments to the RSV4’s already comprehensive setup. The system helps riders explore their limits safely whilst enabling gradual improvement. This enhancement comes through new adaptive and predictive components for the wheelie, traction and yaw controls.

The algorithm’s predictive component processes vehicle parameters in real time (including speed, lean angle, gear, throttle position and more) to anticipate intervention, ensuring smooth and precise control. Moreover, the sophisticated software continuously analyzes the motorcycle’s dynamic responses and the rider’s style, delivering more refined and precise control.

Both models come equipped as standard with a six-axis inertial platform, a Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle and three riding modes that manage the three levels of Cornering ABS and the controls in the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC), the renowned suite of racing-derived systems, which includes:

 • Aprilia Traction Control (ATC): Adjustable on the fly with eight levels without closing the throttle. It offers more effective intervention logic and now works in synergy with the new Aprilia Slide Control (ASC), which is adjustable to three independent levels.
 • (New) Aprilia Wheelie Control (AWC): The new wheelie control system, adjustable to three levels, features predictive strategies. The system doesn’t intervene abruptly to mitigate a wheelie in progress but acts smoothly before the event occurs, enhancing performance. This adaptive feature, designed for track sessions, learns the rider’s characteristics and adjusts the intervention level to ensure optimal performance.
 • Aprilia Engine Map (AEM): Three different mappings available to modify the engine’s character and power delivery.
 • Aprilia Engine Brake (AEB): The three-level adjustable engine brake control system with a specific algorithm that optimizes operation by considering the lean angle.
 • Aprilia Quick Shift (AQS): The electronic gearbox for lightning-fast gear changes without closing the throttle or using the clutch. It comes with a downshift function, enabling downshifting without engaging the clutch. It also allows downshifting with an open throttle.
2025 Aprilia RSV4 Factory
2025 Aprilia RSV4 Factory

Standard equipment on the RSV4 Factory, includes:

 • Race dashboard: The track-focused instrument cluster configuration
 • Aprilia Launch Control (ALC): The track-only starting assist system, adjustable to three levels for track-only use, featuring highly effective operating strategies
 • Aprilia Pit Limiter (APL): The system that allows the rider to select and limit maximum speed in the pit lane or easily comply with road speed limits
 • (New) Aprilia Slide Control (ASC): The new three-level adjustable function to prevent and limit rear wheel side slip. Like the new AWC, ASC also features predictive functionality.
 • Bending lights: A pair of auxiliary headlights within the headlight housings illuminate the inside of corners, improving visibility whilst leaning.
 • Aprilia Cruise Control (ACC): Convenient during longer journeys, allowing the rider to maintain a set speed without using the throttle
 • GPS module with corner-by-corner electronics functionality: As with the most advanced race bikes, this system automatically adjusts ATC and AWC electronic settings according to the preferences set by the rider before going out on track. This is the latest evolution of the corner-by-corner management system, which Aprilia first introduced in 2015.
 • Corner-by-corner suspension functionality: This system automatically adjusts the electronic settings of the semi-active Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension according to the preferences set by the rider before going out on track.
 • Fourth-generation Aprilia MIA multimedia platform: This allows riders to connect their smartphones to the bike, extending the instrument cluster functions and enabling data download for analysis.

Aprilia has designed and developed a comprehensive range of accessories for customizing the RSV4 and RSV4 Factory. These premium items include various carbon-fibre components, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors, many CNC-machined aluminum parts and SC Project’s homologated slip-on exhaust.

The partnership between Aprilia and Alpinestars continues, creating a complete clothing line dedicated to Aprilia V4 bikes. The Throttle Leather Suit, made from full-grain leather, ensures top performance and fit. It combines perfectly with the Throttle Gloves, also made from full-grain goatskin. The new collection also includes a line of gear for road use, featuring the Twisties Tex Jacket with removable winter lining and the Throttle Leather Jacket, made from leather and equipped with Nucleon Flex Plus protection, designed to accommodate an airbag. New items include the Twisties Gloves, which feature a leather palm and a multi-layer construction with carbon fibre protection.

Versions and Colors

Two versions are available: The RSV4 offers a premium technical platform delivering the same performance as the Factory model, powered by the identical 220-horsepower V4 engine. It offers two color schemes: Poison Yellow, featuring a predominantly grey finish with many yellow accents highlighting its racing spirit, and Stingray Blue, a striking electric blue complemented by red details.

Following tradition, the Aprilia RSV4 Factory features premium equipment, including forged aluminum wheels and the Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system, replacing the RSV4’s fully adjustable Sachs mechanical suspension trio. All electronic packages come as standard, including the new Slide Control function, the corner-by-corner suspension and engine power delivery calibration. It is available in a single color scheme — Dark Kraken — making the Factory instantly recognizable, also thanks to its combination with the two-tone seat.

Ducati Presents the New Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 https://www.motorcyclepowersportsnews.com/ducati-new-panigale-streetfighter-v2/ Fri, 08 Nov 2024 13:00:00 +0000 https://www.motorcyclepowersportsnews.com/?p=203747 The lightest Panigale and Streetfighter ever, they combine benchmark performance on the track and fun on the road.

The post Ducati Presents the New Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 appeared first on Motorcycle & Powersports News.

]]>
With the newest episode of the 2025 World Premiere, a new era has begun for Ducati’s twin-cylinder motorcycles, unveiling the new Panigale and Streetfighter V2, the first bikes in the range to feature the new Ducati V2.

The new Panigale V2 and the new Streetfighter V2 are the lightest ever. Developed from Ducati’s performance and race DNA, a completely new design revolving around the Ducati V2 engine, the two bikes have set a new benchmark for compactness and lightness among Borgo Panigale twin-cylinders.

Panigale V2

The Ducati Panigale V2 marks an epochal transition in the history of Borgo Panigale twin-cylinder motorcycles because, for the first time, the bikes have been designed from the ground up and don’t simply adopt the engine with a reduced displacement. It is a bike that picks up the tradition of iconic models such as the 748, the 848 and the 959 to maintain the sporty feeling but adds an easy-to-ride character and enjoyment on the road.

Thanks to the new Ducati 90° V2 engine and the monocoque frame (weighing just pounds), it is the lightest Panigale ever: in fact, it is 33 pounds less than the previous V2 S model.

Lightness, intuitiveness, reduced physical and psychological effort, a generous power delivery curve at low revs with a sporty extension at high revs, and a style and technical equipment worthy of a true Ducati are the main characteristics of the new Panigale V2.

Family Feeling

The design of the Panigale V2 is inspired by that of the Panigale V4, defining a sport bike with a determined yet elegant character, combined with the typical taut and clean lines of Ducati grafted onto the neat and sophisticated surfaces of its fairing. Inside the side of the latter, a passive ventilation system channels fresh air towards the rider and moves the hot air from the radiator away, thus improving thermal comfort; essential for thoroughly enjoying the bike when riding on the road.

An apparent reference to the Panigale V4 characterizes the front. It features the full-LED headlight with double DRL, giving it the same assertive and decisive “look.” It is also framed by painted surfaces on the lower part, one of the new stylistic features of the Panigale family. The tank’s design, which also recalls that of the Panigale V4, adopts the new mechanical base and a different ergonomic triangle. The latter has been designed to reduce the load on the wrists while maintaining an excellent feeling on the front when cornering.

The rear has also received a styling treatment inspired by the Panigale V4 and seamlessly merges with the tank, creating a monolithic effect inspired by the 916. The full-LED taillight is divided into two parts, keeping with the Ducati sportbike tradition. The exhaust, which ends with two silencers positioned under the seat, harks back to the Panigale’s racing tradition, underlining the bike’s performance DNA.

The new spoked wheels with a “Y” profile are a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Marchesini three-spoke look. The black color creates a contrasting effect with the full Ducati Red livery.

Sport Bike Performance on the Track and Sheer Riding Pleasure on the Road

During development tests on the track, the new Panigale V2 provided performance levels in line with those of the previous model. This is all thanks to the 33-pound weight reduction, a light and modern chassis, new ergonomics, an engine with plenty of torque and an ease of riding unfamiliar to the previous V2. On the new Panigale V2, the rider feels at ease from the very first corner and, thanks to the reduced physical effort required in riding, can more easily reach the limit and maintain it throughout the session.

On the road, however, the new Panigale V2 proves to be the most manageable and enjoyable Ducati sport bike ever. Thanks to a riding position that is less loaded on the front, the ease of riding and the thermal comfort, you can fully enjoy the bike.

Streetfighter V2

Ducati has applied the “Fight Formula” to the lightest Panigale ever to create the lightest Streetfighter ever: an exhilarating naked bike on the road and a high-performance one on the circuit. The formula is simple: 890cc engine, Panigale V2 chassis, weight of 386 pounds, wide and high handlebars, and no fairing.

The new V2 is the lightest Streetfighter ever created by Ducati (40 pounds lighter compared to the previous model) thanks to a chassis based on the very light monocoque frame and the new 90° V2 engine. A bike that is, therefore, nimble and, at the same time, stable and rigorous at high speeds, as high-performance as the previous one between the curbs of a track but significantly more enjoyable and fun on the road and in everyday use.

Thanks to the V2’s lightness and torque, the new Streetfighter is more intuitive to ride, lively and exciting. It can give the rider confidence and enjoyment from first contact.

2025-ducati-streetfighter-v2

Unmistakably Streetfighter

The design of the new V2 confirms the typical stylistic features of the Streetfighter family, eliminating the fairing and thus highlighting the mechanical base of the supersport bike from which it derives. Therefore, the “look” of the front, sharp and adrenaline-filled, created by the Full-LED headlight unit and the DRL, is immediately recognizable.

The fuel tank, the fully faired seat/tail unit, and the light alloy wheels are the same as those of the Panigale V2. A solution that enhances the spirit of the Streetfighter V2, maintaining the references to the Ducati racing tradition.

New V2 Engine

The Panigale V2 and the Streetfighter V2 mount the new 90° V2 engine with variable timing for the intake valves, 890cc and 120 horsepower. Its weight of just 120 pounds (20.7 pounds lighter compared to the Superquadro it replaces) makes it the lightest twin-cylinder ever produced by Ducati, and its torque curve, with 70% of the maximum value already available at 3,000 rpm, ensures that riding is always exciting, even on the road. When using the new V2’s on the track, riders can install a racing exhaust, which increases the maximum power to 126 horsepower with a weight reduction of 10 pounds.

For the Panigale and Streetfighter V2, there are three Power Modes available: High, Medium, and Low, at 95 horsepower. Furthermore, both bikes are available in a 35 kilowatt version.

Benchmark Chassis

The frame of the new V2 is a light and efficient monocoque, which uses the engine as a stressed element. The double-sided swingarm is inspired in design by the Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm of the Panigale V4 and offers the same benefits in terms of stability when exiting corners and feeling when riding on the track, where it allows the rider to make the most of modern, slick tires.

The suspensions are fully adjustable to allow the rider to personalize the set-up of the new Ducati models. The Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 are equipped with Marzocchi forks and Kayaba shock absorbers, while the V2 S versions offer their rider Öhlins forks and shock absorbers, as well as a lithium-ion battery that reduces weight.

To maintain stability when cornering and at speed without a fairing, the Streetfighter V2 features a swingarm 30 millimeters longer than the Panigale V2 and a Sachs steering damper as standard.

The new cast wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires in 120/70 and 190/55 sizes, which combine handling and contact patch, enhancing the two models’ sporty qualities. The Brembo front braking system consists of two 320-millimeter discs and M50 monobloc calipers, offering power for track use and modulation for road use.

Benchmark Electronics

The Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 are equipped with a six-axis IMU inertial platform, thus supporting a complete and effective electronics package to increase safety in road use and performance on the track. The electronics package includes sports ABS Cornering with slide-by-brake functionality, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control and the new Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, the same system used on the Panigale V4, standard on both versions. The S versions also have Ducati Power Launch and Pit Limiter as standard.

The rider can instantly change the bike’s behavior by choosing between four Riding Modes (Race, Sport, Road, Wet) that offer pre-set intervention levels, which can be modified by the user for all the controls and engine response.

The dashboard is a new five-inch TFT with a user interface based on Infomode, conceptually derived from the new Panigale V4. The three views—Road, Road Pro and Track—allow the rider to concentrate on riding and highlight the most relevant information for each mode.

The rider interface has been streamlined, integrating the information as much as possible to reduce its density and improve readability. The rev counter, for example, also acts as a gear shift indicator, lighting up green at the ideal rpm to shift up and red when over-revving is reached.

Accessories

Various accessories are available for the new Panigale and Streetfighter V2 to increase their performance on the track or make them more versatile for road use. A dedicated track package is also available for the Panigale, consisting of a racing exhaust and lower fairing, Öhlins steering damper, adjustable footpegs with carbon heel guards and lowered handlebars, clutch and generator covers, and caps for mirror and license plate removal. Each accessory can be purchased individually.

The Lap Timer Pro self-timing system, using the Track Infomode, displays lap times, split times and improvements in the rider’s performance in real time.

For those who wish to enjoy the new V2 models to the fullest on the road, accessories such as Cruise control, a Turn-by-turn navigator, a USB power socket to power a smartphone or a TPMS tire pressure sensor are available on the new Ducati configurator.
